Overview and Suitability
The 717 Parking L49, locally known as the \'Elmers Lot,\' is a surface-level parking facility located at 2003 E 7th Ave in the heart of the Historic Ybor district of Tampa, Florida. This compact, open-air lot offers 20 parking spaces and is primarily intended for standard passenger vehicles visiting the nearby entertainment and commercial hubs of Ybor City.
Access, Dimensions and Clearance
As an uncovered, open-lot facility, it is highly accessible for standard cars, SUVs, and light trucks. There are no overhead clearance restrictions typical of parking garages; however, users should be aware that the lot size is limited to 20 spaces, which may fill quickly during peak evening hours or local event days.
Parking Rates, Tariffs and Booking
The facility operates as a paid parking zone. Rates are approximately $10 for 2 hours, though users should always verify current signage upon arrival. The lot is managed under the 717 Parking system, which typically utilizes mobile payment apps (Zone 4533) for convenient, contact-free transactions. Please ensure you register your plate and zone number correctly at the time of arrival.
Security and Amenities
The lot provides basic, high-visibility street-level parking. While it lacks the gated security features of a garage, its location in a high-traffic area of Historic Ybor provides a level of natural surveillance. It is a non-covered, self-service facility.
Strategic Alternatives
This location serves as a premier, short-term parking alternative for patrons of Ybor City’s restaurants, nightlife, and historic landmarks. Its strategic placement on 7th Avenue ensures that visitors are within comfortable walking distance of the district\'s most popular venues.
