About this Location

Overview & Suitability

The 722 Hennepin Ave parking facility, managed by Allied Parking Inc., provides convenient and centrally located parking in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. This surface lot is primarily designed for standard passenger vehicles and is highly suitable for commuters, shoppers, and visitors attending nearby events in the Hennepin Avenue corridor.

Access & Navigation

Access to the lot is straightforward, though drivers should be aware that it operates as a high-traffic area. The lot features clear entry points, but navigation within the facility should be done with care during peak hours or large downtown events. There are no specific oversized vehicle accommodations noted, so high-clearance vehicles or large RVs are generally not recommended for this location.

Parking Rates & Payment Methods

The facility utilizes a pay-on-foot system, requiring motorists to pay at a designated pay station before returning to their vehicles. Please note that this is a cashless facility. Pricing structures are as follows:

Standard Daily Rate: $6.00
Mon-Thursday Evening (In after 3 PM, out by 4 AM): $10
Fri-Sunday Evening (In after 3 PM, out by 4 AM): $15
Event Parking: Variable rates ranging from $10 to $50 depending on the event.
Overnight Parking: Flat rate of $30; vehicles must be off the lot or paid for by 11:00 AM the following morning.

Security & Amenities

While the lot focuses on self-service parking, it is well-positioned in a busy urban environment. Customers are advised to utilize the provided pay stations for all transactions. The facility is strategically located to provide quick access to local theaters, retail shops, and dining destinations.

Strategic Alternatives

This location serves as an excellent alternative for visitors looking for budget-conscious parking compared to premium valet or covered garage options in the immediate downtown vicinity. It is an ideal \"park-and-walk\" destination for those attending performances at the historic theaters located along Hennepin Avenue.
