Overview and Suitability

The A11 parking facility, located along Holy Cross Drive, is a key surface parking lot serving the University of Notre Dame campus. As a standard university parking area, it primarily caters to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Please be aware that parking regulations are strictly enforced, and many lots on campus require specific permits or are reserved for university personnel during standard operating hours.

Access and Navigation

Located near major campus landmarks, the lot is accessible via Holy Cross Drive. Drivers should note that campus traffic can become significantly congested during academic peak hours and major university events. Visitors are encouraged to follow posted signage regarding entry restrictions, as some areas of the campus are restricted to permit holders only.

Parking Rates and Tariffs

Parking at this location is governed by the University of Notre Dame’s parking services. While some lots may offer visitor access, football game days and major university events operate under special event parking protocols with dedicated pricing structures. It is recommended to check the official university parking map and portal for current permit requirements or daily visitor rates before arrival.

Security and Amenities

The lot is situated within the secure perimeter of the Notre Dame campus, benefiting from university police oversight. Standard campus parking amenities include basic lighting for evening visibility. The lot is an open-air surface facility without specific height restrictions for standard passenger vehicles.

Strategic Alternatives

This lot serves as a strategic starting point for visitors heading to the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, and the Notre Dame Bookstore. For those attending football games, it is advised to utilize the university’s dedicated event parking resources, as standard daily permit areas often transition to event-only status during high-traffic weekends.
