The Canton Downtown Parking Deck, commonly known as the Archer Street parking deck, is a modern, two-story municipal parking facility in the heart of downtown Canton, Georgia. Opened in late 2022, this facility was designed to blend with the historic aesthetics of the city while providing a sustainable and convenient parking solution. Offering a total of 102 spaces, including 4 designated handicap-accessible spots, the deck is perfect for standard passenger cars, SUVs, and electric vehicles visiting the downtown area. It is not suitable for RVs, motorhomes, or heavy commercial trailers due to height and turning constraints.

Access, Dimensions & Clearance

The facility features a unique split-level access design with two independent, fully covered levels:

• The lower level is accessible directly from West Marietta Street and Archer Street.
• The upper level is reached from behind City Hall via Hill Street Circle.

Pedestrians and drivers will find navigating the deck straightforward, but drivers of oversized trucks or dually vehicles should be mindful of standard multi-level garage clearances and tight turning angles.

Parking Rates, Tariffs & Booking

Parking at the Archer Street parking deck is completely free to the public. As part of Canton’s commitment to supporting local businesses and visitors, there are no hourly, daily, or monthly parking fees, and no pre-booking or reservations are required. It operates on a first-come, first-served basis. The top deck features 10 public electric vehicle (EV) charging stations powered by an 80kW solar array, though external EV network charging fees may apply depending on the network provider.

The deck is equipped with modern lighting and high-quality amenities to ensure a comfortable and secure experience:

• Bright, energy-efficient LED lighting is active throughout both levels, powered in part by the rooftop solar array.
• The structure is adorned with a beautiful local mural and vibrant LED architectural lights.
• Public accessibility features include 4 dedicated ADA handicap spots and direct pedestrian links to municipal offices.

This deck serves as a highly convenient alternative to street-level parking in downtown Canton, especially during major events. It provides ideal, walkable parking for:
