Overview and Suitability
Blue Lot D is a strategically positioned parking facility located at 499 Deacon Blvd, Winston-Salem, NC. Primarily serving as a high-capacity parking solution for the Allegacy Federal Credit Union Stadium and the surrounding Deacon Boulevard event corridor, this lot is designed to accommodate visitors attending Wake Forest University Demon Deacons football games, concerts, and community events.
Access and Navigation
The facility is easily accessible from major local roadways near the stadium. While it functions as a primary surface parking lot for major events, visitors should be aware that traffic patterns around Deacon Blvd can change significantly during game days. Users are encouraged to follow official campus signage for ingress and egress to ensure smooth navigation.
Parking Operations
Parking operations at this location are often subject to the event-specific protocols managed by Wake Forest University Athletics. During major events, standard hourly operations may be suspended in favor of pre-paid or event-day permit parking. Guests should verify their status via the official university athletics website prior to arrival.
Strategic Importance
Blue Lot D serves as a key piece of infrastructure for The Grounds, a 100-acre mixed-use development project. Its proximity to the Bridger Field House and the main stadium makes it an essential hub for fans and event attendees looking for convenient access to North Carolina\'s premier sporting and entertainment venues.
