The Bryan Street Parking Garage is a premier public parking facility owned and operated by the City of Savannah. Built in 1996 and located right in the heart of the Historic Landmark District between Bay Street and Bryan Street, this multi-level parking structure has a capacity of 497 vehicles. It is perfectly suited for daily commuters, tourists, and overnight hotel guests who want to park their standard passenger vehicles safely while exploring the city. Please note that due to structural limits, this facility is not suitable for RVs, motorhomes, or oversized trailers.
Access, Dimensions & Clearance
The garage offers dual entry points, with convenient entrances located on both Drayton Street and Abercorn Street. Navigating the facility is straightforward, though drivers should be aware of the 7-foot maximum clearance height (7 feet 0 inches). Oversized passenger trucks or SUVs with roof racks should carefully check their clearance before entering.
Parking Rates, Tariffs & Booking
Daily parking rates are highly affordable and structured as follows:
- Monday - Friday (5:00 AM - 5:00 PM): $2.00 per hour or portion thereof, with a daily maximum of $20.00.
- Monday - Thursday Evening (5:00 PM - 5:00 AM): $2.00 flat rate.
- Friday Evening (5:00 PM - 5:00 AM): $5.00 flat rate.
- Weekend Days (Saturday & Sunday): $5.00 flat rate per day.
- Special Events: Flat rates from $5.00 to $30.00 may apply, pre-empting standard daily rates.
- Monthly Rates: Standard unlimited access is available for $100.00 per month, with overnight access (3:00 PM - 6:00 AM daily) offered at a discounted rate of $35.00 per month.
There is no pre-booking option, but parking is easily accessible on a first-come, first-served basis. Daily customers must exit using an automated kiosk. Please note that this is a cash-free garage; payment must be made via credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are accepted).
Security & Amenities
The Bryan Street Parking Garage provides excellent, well-lit covered parking with 24/7 access and round-the-clock municipal monitoring. On-site facilities include four EV charging stations (such as Tesla chargers). Additionally, the City of Savannah's Mobility & Parking Services office is headquartered directly inside the garage, making it convenient to purchase on-street Visitor Day Passes (VDP) during weekday business hours. Important enforcement note: Back-in parking is strictly prohibited and subject to ticketing.
