The Cambridge Parking Garage, commonly referred to as P3, is a primary parking facility serving The University of Kansas Health System. Designed primarily for patients and visitors, this multi-level structure provides convenient access to the hospital\'s main entrance. The facility features 792 parking spaces and is strictly intended for patient and visitor use; unauthorized or long-term parking is not permitted.
Access, Dimensions and Clearance
The facility offers standard garage access suitable for passenger vehicles. Please note the following constraints:
- Maximum height clearance is 7 feet.
- Oversized vehicle parking is not available within the standard garage; please contact 913-588-5030 to arrange for specialized vehicle parking.
- Overnight camping is prohibited on the campus premises.
Parking Rates and Validation
Parking is managed via ticketing upon entry. Visitors are encouraged to bring their tickets inside for validation to receive a discounted rate.
- Standard Visitor Rate: $3.00 with hospital validation.
- Permit Parking: Reserved spaces are available for authorized staff, students, and vendors via annual permits.
Security and Amenities
The garage is integrated into the University of Kansas Medical Center security network. It features well-lit, structure-based parking to ensure safety for patients and guests visiting the health system at all hours.
Strategic Alternatives
If the P3 garage reaches capacity, visitors may utilize other campus facilities such as P2 (located at the corner of Olathe Boulevard and Cambridge Street) or P5 (located at 3724 Cambridge St), which offers an 8-foot height clearance for slightly taller vehicles.
