Located on the south side of the historic venue, Camping World Stadium Lot 4 (also widely known as the RV Lot or GEICO Lot 4) is the premier designated parking zone for recreational vehicles, motorhomes, and oversized tailgating setups in Orlando. Positioned along West South Street just north of State Road 408, this surface lot is the go-to choice for fans looking to bring the ultimate game-day experience to major events like the Citrus Bowl, Pop-Tarts Bowl, and music festivals at Tinker Field.
Overview & Suitability
Lot 4 is uniquely suited and primarily reserved for RVs, motorhomes, and oversized tow vehicles. Standard passenger cars may also use the lot depending on the specific event's configuration, but its main appeal is serving as the stadium’s dedicated "dry camping" zone. It is highly sought after by tailgaters who want to set up early. Note that any vehicle towing accessories, trailers, or smokers must possess a separate, dedicated permit for the towed unit, or they will be turned away at the gate.
Access, Dimensions & Clearance
As an open-air, flat-surface asphalt lot, Lot 4 features no overhead height clearance restrictions, making it easily navigable for tall Class A, B, and C motorhomes. To access the lot on event days:
- From Orange Blossom Trail (OBT) Northbound: Turn left on South Street, travel past Norton Ave, and the entrance is on your left.
- From OBT Southbound: Turn right on South Street, travel past Norton Ave, and turn left into the entrance.
- From SR-408 Eastbound: Take the Orange Blossom Trail exit, head north, and turn left onto South Street.
Due to heavy post-event traffic and mandatory street closures (including nearby Rio Grande Ave), departing the lot can be slow, requiring patience as police direct outflow in a single direction.
Parking Rates, Tariffs & Booking
Parking rates are event-specific and typically charged as a flat day-use tariff. Standard vehicle event parking generally starts around $50.00 (for lots south of SR-408) to $70.00, while RV and oversized vehicle permits are priced significantly higher and vary by event. Because of extreme demand, pre-booking your parking pass online via Ticketmaster or the official stadium website is highly recommended—and often mandatory—as drive-up space is rarely available on game days. Cash is generally not accepted at the gate; all entry relies on digital permits scanned from your mobile device.
Security & Amenities
Lot 4 is fully gated and actively managed by stadium parking staff and security personnel on event days. Uniformed Orlando Police officers patrol the surrounding campus to ensure a safe tailgating environment. Amenities include portable restrooms scattered near the lot boundaries, large trash receptacles, and designated hot-coal disposal bins for tailgaters. However, please keep in mind that this is a dry camping lot, meaning there are no electrical, water, or sewer hookups available on-site.
Strategic Alternative
For visitors looking to avoid stadium traffic or those unable to secure a pre-paid permit for Lot 4, a highly strategic alternative is parking in Downtown Orlando. Drivers can utilize city-operated facilities like the Geico Garage or City Commons Garage for a much lower flat rate (typically $10.00 to $20.00) and board the Free Downtown Stadium Shuttle. This complimentary shuttle service runs continuously from Central Boulevard (between Garland and Hughey) starting several hours before the event, dropping fans off directly at Gate A of Camping World Stadium.
