Overview and Suitability
The Caritas Christi Parking Lot is a facility located at 917-901 Greenwood Dr in Greensburg, PA. This lot primarily serves the Caritas Christi motherhouse facility, which is a significant regional landmark. The parking area is designed to accommodate standard passenger vehicles and visitors attending activities or visiting the campus grounds.
Access and Navigation
The facility provides convenient surface-level parking accessible from the Greenwood Drive area. Navigation within the lot is straightforward, suitable for standard sedans, SUVs, and light trucks. As this is a institutional facility, visitors should anticipate standard surface lot dimensions without complex height clearance restrictions, though users should always exercise caution when maneuvering in high-traffic periods.
Parking Rates and Booking
The Caritas Christi parking area is generally intended for institutional use and visiting guests of the facility. There is no automated pay-on-arrival system, and standard public commercial hourly or daily rates do not apply as they would for public downtown municipal lots. Visitors are encouraged to contact the main administrative office for specific parking permissions and information regarding any site-specific access protocols.
Security and Amenities
The lot benefits from being part of the larger, managed grounds of the Caritas Christi campus. It provides a secure environment within a quiet setting, offering well-maintained asphalt surfaces. While it lacks high-density commercial features like EV chargers or gated automated entry, it is located in a monitored, safe area suitable for long-term stays during scheduled visits.
Strategic Alternatives
This location serves as a critical arrival point for those visiting the Caritas Christi Motherhouse. For travelers seeking broader parking options in the Greensburg area, the city operates 15 public surface lots located downtown. If this facility is full or restricted for private events, visitors are encouraged to utilize the City of Greensburg’s municipal parking network which supports local area commerce and transit.
