Facility Overview
Located in the heart of Downtown Manhattan, the Discount Parking facility at 95-97 Baxter St is a professional surface lot providing essential vehicle storage for residents and visitors to the Chinatown area. With a total capacity of 28 spaces, this lot is designed for standard passenger vehicles and compact cars navigating the dense urban environment of New York City.
Access and Navigation
This is a managed surface lot that operates primarily on a valet-only basis. Drivers should be prepared for the typical congestion associated with downtown Manhattan streets. Given that this is an open-air surface lot, there are no height clearance restrictions common to indoor parking garages, making it a suitable choice for taller passenger vehicles, though it is not intended for oversized commercial trucks or long-haul recreational vehicles.
Parking Rates and Operations
Parking at this location is provided by Chung Pak Parking Corp. The lot operates as a valet facility, meaning drivers will check in with attendants upon arrival. Pricing is standard for the district, and customers are advised to verify daily rates prior to arrival as fees may fluctuate based on demand and event schedules in the Chinatown/Civic Center area.
Strategic Location
Strategically situated on Baxter Street, this lot serves as a convenient parking hub for those visiting nearby businesses, dining establishments in Chinatown, or government offices in the Civic Center. Its centralized location makes it an ideal alternative to street parking, which is notoriously difficult to secure in this high-traffic zone.
