About this Location

Facility Overview

The Economy Parking Lot at Evansville Regional Airport (EVV) is the premier budget-friendly parking option serving travelers across the tri-state area of southwestern Indiana, southeastern Illinois, and western Kentucky. Located at 7801 Bussing Drive in north Evansville, this expansive open-air surface parking facility provides reliable, fully paved, and well-organized stalls designed for both short-duration getaways and extended long-term travel. Because the facility is entirely outdoor and surface-level without overhead beams or structural garage decks, it provides unobstructed vertical clearance. This makes it suitable not only for standard sedans and crossover vehicles, but also for lifted pickup trucks, full-size commercial SUVs, passenger vans, and vehicles outfitted with rooftop carriers or bicycle racks.

Prime Location & Nearby Attractions

Conveniently situated directly on airport grounds, the lot is merely a comfortable 3 to 5-minute stroll along designated pedestrian paths directly into the EVV passenger terminal building. Beyond passenger flight connectivity, the lot is centrally positioned in the Vanderburgh County aviation corridor. Within a short 5 to 12-minute drive, drivers can easily access the North Park Shopping Center, Tri-State Speedway, Ivy Tech Community College Evansville campus, and regional sports venues like the Goebel Soccer Complex and Deaconess Sports Park. Downtown Evansville, the Ford Center arena, Old National Events Plaza, and Bally\'s Evansville Casino along the Ohio River scenic waterfront are all within a 15-minute commute straight down Highway 41.

Access, Navigation & Transit Connectivity

Navigating to and from the Economy Parking Lot is remarkably straightforward. Ingress and egress are serviced via Bussing Drive, which branches seamlessly off US-41 (Highway 41) and connects swiftly to Interstate 64 just 5 miles to the north and Interstate 69 to the east via the Evansville bypass corridor (SR 57). Automated entrance gates issue a time-stamped ticket or allow easy credit card swipe access, preventing traffic congestion during peak morning departure banks. While most airport visitors rely on personal vehicles, taxis, and rideshares (Uber and Lyft), Evansville\'s METS public transit system and local regional shuttles also serve the airport terminal hub, making connection into downtown simple.

Visitor & Driver Tips

To ensure a smooth departure, allow approximately 10 to 15 minutes to park, collect your luggage, and complete the short walk across to the passenger check-in counter and TSA checkpoint. Keep your entrance ticket safely in your vehicle\'s console away from direct sunlight, or utilize credit card in/out tap options at the gate barriers to eliminate the risk of a misplaced ticket. If you travel during severe winter freezes or summer thunderstorms, take note of your exact aisle number to locate your vehicle quickly upon your return.
