Overview & Suitability
Jones Beach VIP Lot 5A is a specialized, high-access parking facility located at 895 Bay Pkwy, Wantagh, NY, specifically designed to serve guests attending events at the Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater. Please note that this is a restricted-access premier parking zone, not a general public parking facility. Access to Lot 5A is strictly reserved for vehicles holding a special VIP pass, Premier parking permit, or specific event-day upgrade ticket.
Access & Navigation
Entry to the lot is regulated during event hours. Guests are advised to follow official roadway signage along Bay Parkway (East). As this lot is located within the larger Jones Beach State Park complex, traffic can be heavy during concert events; visitors should arrive early to allow sufficient time for navigation and the short walk to the theater entrance.
Parking Rates & Requirements
While general parking at Field 5 may be included with concert tickets or available for a standard fee, Lot 5A requires a pre-purchased Premier or VIP parking upgrade. Prices vary by event and are not available for standard cash-on-arrival payment. It is highly recommended to secure your parking pass online in advance through the official venue ticketing portal.
Security & Amenities
The lot benefits from the overarching security infrastructure of Jones Beach State Park, including organized event staff, clearly marked lanes, and proximity to major venue entry points. The area is well-lit for post-show departures and maintained to accommodate high-volume traffic transitions.
Strategic Alternatives
This lot serves as the primary premium parking solution for those attending sold-out shows at the Jones Beach Theater. For those without VIP access, standard parking is available in the surrounding Field 5 lots, though these locations may require a significantly longer walk to the venue entrance compared to the proximity offered by Lot 5A.
