Standard passenger vehicles (cars, SUVs, and light trucks) are permitted to park here, provided they display a valid seasonal Gold Lot permit. Due to its premium designation, the lot is not suitable or open for general public daily parking or unauthorized student parking.

As an outdoor, flat surface asphalt lot, the KSU Gold Lot has no overhead height or clearance restrictions, making it easily accessible for taller passenger vehicles. Entering and navigating the lot is highly organized, although drivers should expect heavy traffic congestion and strict local traffic management on game days. Access is typically managed via Busbee Drive NW. During high-profile university events, surrounding streets like Big Shanty Road and sections of Busbee Drive may experience temporary closures, so following official electronic signage and police direction is highly recommended.

The Gold Lot operates strictly on a pre-paid seasonal permit basis, with passes traditionally bundled for Owls Fund members and season-ticket holders at approximately $99 per season. Drive-up, day-of-game cash or card purchases are not offered at this specific lot. Guests looking for single-game public parking must look to alternative lots, such as the Grey Lot or Purple Lot, which charge a flat daily rate of $20 to $25 and operate on a cashless, credit-card-only basis.

Security is robust, with active patrols and monitoring provided by the Kennesaw State University Police and campus public safety officers. During events, the lot is fully staffed with parking attendants to ensure only authorized vehicles enter. For visitors, fans, and students who do not possess a Gold Lot permit, KSU offers several strategic parking alternatives. The nearby Grey Lot (located at the KSU Center) and the Purple Lot (at Town Point Drive) provide convenient drive-up or pre-paid parking for stadium events. Additionally, students with active campus permits can park in the Green Lot or utilize the university's complimentary Big Owl Bus shuttle service, which runs continuously to and from the central campus parking decks on game days.
