Action Camp (formerly known as LA RV Resort and previously Acton/Los Angeles North KOA) is a scenic, family-friendly RV resort and campground located in the historic Soledad Canyon of Acton, California. Surrounded by the breathtaking San Gabriel Mountains, the resort acts as a key base camp for hikers on the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) and offers a peaceful retreat for both short-term and long-term campers. The park features a total of 79 sites, including premium deluxe sites with full hookups, cabins, and unique teepee rentals. Amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, a dog park, a playground, recreational activities, a small store, laundry facilities, and clean bathhouses. Parking & Vehicle Clearance: The resort is big-rig friendly, but there are strict access requirements: all RVs, motorhomes, and trailers must enter via the Crown Valley Road exit due to a weight limit on the bridge and a restrictive 13-foot clearance tunnel on the alternative Soledad Canyon Road approach. Rates & Guidance: Daily RV rates generally range between $50 and $100+ depending on the site. Special rates are available for Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) hikers, who can camp for $20 (including shower access) and have resupply packages held at the office for a $10 fee. Nearby Attractions: The Shambala Preserve (offering safari tours of exotic cats) is located right next door, the Pacific Crest Trail is directly accessible from the campsite, and Vasquez Rocks Natural Area Park and Six Flags Magic Mountain are only a short drive away.
