Facility Overview
The LAZ Parking - Equitable Towers Garage, located at 215 Harrison Street, is a premier multi-level covered parking facility situated in the heart of downtown Syracuse. As a secure, structured garage, it provides essential protection from the harsh Upstate New York winters, shielding vehicles from snow, ice, and intense summer sun. The facility is designed for standard passenger vehicles; however, prospective parkers with high-roof vans, large commercial trucks, or oversized modified vehicles should exercise caution due to standard garage clearance constraints typical of urban mid-rise structures.
Prime Location & Nearby Attractions
This garage offers an unbeatable location for those visiting Syracuse's cultural and business epicenter. You are within a short walking distance of:
- The Oncenter (Convention Center & War Memorial Arena): The hub for major city events, trade shows, and Syracuse Crunch hockey games.
- Armory Square: A vibrant district filled with premier dining, nightlife, and unique shopping, approximately a 10-15 minute walk away.
- The Everson Museum of Art: An architectural landmark featuring impressive American art collections.
- Downtown Business District: Highly convenient for daily commuters working in nearby corporate and government towers.
Access, Navigation & Transit Connectivity
The facility is strategically positioned to provide efficient access to major city arterials, including proximity to I-81. Drivers will find the entrance accessible from Harrison Street. The flow of traffic is generally well-managed, though event-day traffic in downtown Syracuse can increase congestion; arriving 30-45 minutes before major events at the Oncenter is recommended. For those utilizing public transit, the garage is well-served by the Centro bus network, which provides comprehensive coverage across the Syracuse area, making it a perfect "park and ride" point for exploring the city.
