The Lime Parking Garage is a massive, modern five-level parking facility located on the eastern side of the Disney Springs shopping, dining, and entertainment district in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Boasting over 2,100 parking spaces across 940,000 square feet, this multi-story concrete structure is exceptionally suited for standard passenger cars, SUVs, and smaller vans. However, because of the height and turn-radius restrictions of a multi-level garage, it is not suitable for oversized vehicles, buses, or large RVs. Visitors driving oversized vehicles must park in the designated surface lots at Disney Springs, such as the Strawberry or Watermelon lots.
Access, Dimensions & Clearance
Conveniently accessed from East Buena Vista Drive, the Lime Parking Garage is particularly easy to reach for guests entering the Walt Disney World property via Hotel Plaza Boulevard or State Road 535. The garage features an overhead clearance limit of 8 feet, 6 inches (8'6"), which easily accommodates standard passenger vehicles but is restrictive for taller commercial vans or motorhomes. Navigation within the garage is seamless, designed with wide lanes, moderate slopes, and sweeping ramps that prevent bottlenecking during peak hours.
Parking Rates, Tariffs & Booking
Standard self-parking at the Lime Parking Garage is entirely complimentary for all Disney Springs guests. There are no hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly tariffs, and no reservations or pre-bookings are required. However, there are strict operating rules to prevent abuse:
- Overnight parking is strictly prohibited; any vehicles remaining in the garage past 2:00 AM are subject to being towed.
- To deter overnight camping and manage crowds during high-demand product releases, the garage enforces a strict opening time of 7:00 AM on special merchandise event days (such as Pin Drop Tuesdays). Vehicles arriving before 7:00 AM on these days will be turned away by security.
Security & Amenities
As a Walt Disney World Resort facility, safety and convenience are top priorities. The garage is heavily monitored with bright lighting, CCTV surveillance, and an on-site security detail. All visitors must pass through a security screening checkpoint located centrally on Level 2 before accessing Disney Springs via the escalators, elevators, or stairs. To make parking frictionless, the Lime Garage is equipped with a smart parking guidance system featuring overhead green and red LED indicators that show available spots in real-time, coupled with digital signage displaying vacant space counts on each level. Additionally, three ChargePoint electric vehicle (EV) charging ports are located on Level 5, and designated accessible parking spaces are available for guests with valid permits.
Strategic Alternative
The Lime Garage is widely considered the best parking option if you intend to spend your time shopping on the eastern side of Disney Springs, including the Town Center and Marketplace neighborhoods. It drops you off just steps from major destinations like the World of Disney, Uniqlo, T-Rex Cafe, and The Lego Store, and is located directly next to popular restaurants like The Polite Pig. If the Lime Garage is full during peak weekend or dinner rushes, the neighboring Grapefruit Garage across East Buena Vista Drive serves as an excellent strategic fallback, offering a pedestrian bridge that connects directly to the Marketplace.
