Facility Overview
Situated in the heart of the Bowling Green State University (BGSU) campus, Lot 7 serves as the premier short-term visitor and guest parking destination for the university community. Located immediately adjacent to the bustling Bowen-Thompson Student Union (BTSU) near East Wooster Street and Ridge Street, this well-maintained open-air surface lot offers straightforward navigation and quick pedestrian access to the university's central academic and social hubs. Because Lot 7 is an uncovered ground-level parking lot, it features completely open headroom without any vertical height restrictions or overhead clearance barriers. This open setup comfortably accommodates passenger cars, full-size pickup trucks, passenger vans, large SUVs, and high-roof delivery or service vehicles alike.
Prime Location & Nearby Attractions
Lot 7 boasts an unbeatable central location on campus, positioning motorists within footsteps of key university landmarks, civic venues, and entertainment facilities:

- Admissions & Campus Tour Departure: Adjacent to Lot 7A, making it the primary hub for university open houses, campus tours, and welcoming prospective students and families.

- Downtown Bowling Green: Located less than a 15-minute walk (or a 3-minute drive) west along Wooster Street, featuring local coffee shops, independent eateries, craft pubs, and downtown boutiques.

Access, Navigation & Transit Connectivity
Ingress and egress for Lot 7 are designed for smooth traffic management via Ridge Street, which connects directly to Thurstin Avenue and East Wooster Street (State Routes 64 and 105). The facility features wide two-way drive aisles that facilitate straightforward turns and simple maneuvering during busy arrival and departure periods. Drivers arriving from outside the region enjoy swift highway access: Interstate 75 (Exit 181) is positioned approximately one mile east along East Wooster Street, providing a seamless gateway to Toledo, Findlay, and regional expressways. Public transit riders can easily access the BGSU Falcon Shuttle network, with multiple campus loop lines stopping directly outside the BTSU, in addition to citywide on-demand service through BGO Transit (Bowling Green Transit).

Visitor & Driver Tips
Lot 7 is one of BGSU's premier Pay-to-Park visitor facilities. Enforced hours run Monday through Saturday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Please note that overnight parking is strictly prohibited in Lot 7. Because the campus utilizes automated License Plate Recognition (LPR) enforcement, vehicles must park head-in with their rear license plate visible to the drive aisle, unless your vehicle is equipped with an official front-mounted license plate. Downloading the PayByPhone or AMP app prior to arrival is highly encouraged, allowing you to easily purchase parking time or extend your parking session remotely without returning to an on-site kiosk. During major university events, such as commencement or fall move-in, check campus signage carefully as parking regulations in adjacent sections (such as Lot 7A) may be adjusted for specific university guests.
