Overview and Suitability

Municipal Lot C, also known as the Spruce and Pleasant Street Parking Lot, is a centrally located surface parking facility operated by the Morgantown Parking Authority. It is designed primarily for standard passenger vehicles and short-term visitors, offering 65 parking stalls to accommodate those exploring downtown Morgantown, local shops, and area businesses.

Access, Dimensions, and Clearance

Located at 153 Spruce St, this surface lot is easily accessible for standard cars and light trucks. As an outdoor surface facility, it does not have the height clearance limitations typically associated with parking garages, making it a convenient option for taller passenger vehicles, though it is not intended for oversized RVs or commercial trailers.

Parking Rates, Tariffs, and Booking

The lot operates on a short-term basis with a 2-hour maximum stay policy, making it ideal for quick errands or short visits. Pricing is set at approximately $1.50 per session. Payment is streamlined through a multi-space meter system that accepts various payment methods, including cash, credit cards, and the Parkmobile app for added convenience.

Security and Amenities

The facility is managed by the Morgantown Parking Authority and includes modern amenities to serve the downtown community, most notably an electric vehicle (EV) charging station. While it is a standard surface lot, its proximity to other high-traffic municipal zones ensures regular oversight.

Strategic Alternatives

Lot C serves as a prime alternative for visitors unable to find space in nearby parking garages. Its strategic location near the intersection of Spruce and Pleasant Street provides immediate pedestrian access to the heart of downtown Morgantown, making it a preferred choice for visitors looking to avoid the congestion of larger structures.
