Overview & Suitability
Memorial Airport Parking is a family-owned and operated off-site parking facility serving travelers at Tampa International Airport (TPA). The lot provides dedicated outdoor self-parking and valet options for standard passenger vehicles. It is designed to offer a cost-effective and convenient alternative to on-airport parking, focusing on efficiency for both business and leisure travelers.
Access, Dimensions & Clearance
The facility is located approximately 1.5 to 2 miles from the Tampa International Airport terminal. Access is straightforward, with the lot located off W. Chelsea Street. As it is an open-air, surface-level lot, it does not have the height clearance restrictions typically associated with parking garages, making it suitable for larger passenger vehicles, though oversized vehicle policies should be confirmed directly with the office.
Parking Rates, Tariffs & Booking
Pricing is highly competitive compared to on-site airport options, with rates often starting under $10 per day. Customers are strongly encouraged to pre-book their reservations online to secure a spot and expedite the check-in process. The facility offers a loyalty program where frequent parkers can earn a free day of parking for every 10 days of paid stays.
Security & Amenities
The lot prioritizes the safety of guest vehicles through several measures:
- 24/7 gated and secure access.
- Around-the-clock surveillance monitoring.
- Well-lit parking areas to ensure visibility.
- Regular security patrols.
- Complimentary 24/7 on-demand shuttle service with luggage assistance.
Strategic Alternative
Located less than two miles from TPA, this facility acts as a premier off-site hub for airport travelers. Its proximity to major transit routes—including the Veterans Expressway and Memorial Highway—makes it a strategic choice for those arriving from Clearwater, St. Petersburg, or the broader Tampa Bay area who wish to avoid the higher tariffs and potential congestion of the main airport terminal garages.
