Facility Overview
Motor Pool #9 is a strategically positioned, open-air surface parking facility located in Hattiesburg, MS 39407. As an outdoor lot, it offers an unencumbered layout, making it an excellent choice for drivers operating larger vehicles, such as full-size pickup trucks, SUVs, or vehicles with roof racks that would otherwise struggle with the vertical clearance limitations of traditional parking garages. The lot features a flat, paved surface designed for high-turnover traffic, ensuring easy navigation and entry for standard passenger cars and light commercial vans alike.

Visitor & Driver Tips
For the best experience, we recommend arriving at least 45 minutes prior to the start of major campus events to ensure optimal spot selection. If you are visiting during peak academic semesters, consider utilizing ride-sharing services to drop you off at the lot if you are unfamiliar with the campus layout. Always ensure your vehicle is locked and valuables are stored out of sight, as this is a high-traffic, open-air environment. GPS navigation is typically very accurate for this location, though local road signage should be prioritized during game days when traffic patterns may be temporarily adjusted.
