Overview & Suitability
The Bryan Street Parking Garage is a municipal, multi-level facility owned and operated by the City of Savannah. Built in 1996, this brick-and-concrete structure offers 497 spaces, making it a highly reliable and popular option for parking in the heart of Savannah's Historic District. The garage is highly suited for standard passenger cars, minivans, and SUVs, providing a convenient alternative to street-level parking. Please note that it is not suitable for RVs, motorhomes, or oversized commercial vehicles due to vertical clearances and tight interior turning radiuses.
Access, Dimensions & Clearance
The facility features a maximum vertical clearance of 7 feet (7'0" / 2.13 meters), which easily accommodates standard vehicles but prevents taller trucks or campervans from entering. Drivers can access the garage via two primary entrances: one on Drayton Street (a one-way northbound street on the west side) and another on Abercorn Street (two-way traffic on the east side). Exits are located on Bryan Street, Abercorn Street, and Drayton Street. The structure has 7 levels, with ramps and pedestrian-friendly access via elevators and stairwells situated at the southeast and southwest corners.
Parking Rates, Tariffs & Booking
Bryan Street Parking Garage operates on a pay-on-arrival/exit model and does not require pre-booking. Monthly parking options are available, ranging from $85.00 for daytime access to $100.00 for unlimited 24/7 access. Security & Amenities
For convenience and safety, the garage features 4 Electron Charger Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations, comprehensive interior and exterior lighting (with an approximate correlated color temperature of 3000K), and 12 designated handicap-accessible spaces. While automated kiosks handle payments 24/7, the garage is also staffed by cashiers during designated hours.
