Facility Overview
Parking Lot F is a key open-air surface parking facility located on the campus of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE). It is strategically positioned to serve the university's primary athletic and recreation venues. As an open-air surface lot, it offers high vertical clearance, making it highly suitable for standard passenger cars, full-size SUVs, and pickup trucks without the restrictive height limitations found in covered parking garages.
Prime Location & Nearby Attractions
Parking Lot F is the premier parking location for visitors attending events at the heart of the SIUE athletics complex. Key venues immediately adjacent to this lot include:
- Student Fitness Center: Located just steps away, serving as a hub for campus wellness and recreation.
- Vadalabene Center & First Community Arena: Directly adjacent, this facility hosts major athletic events, university gatherings, and community activities.
- Outdoor Recreational Sports Complex: Within easy walking distance for those attending outdoor sports and recreational events.
The lot's proximity makes it the ideal choice for game-day fans, student athletes, and fitness enthusiasts.
Access, Navigation & Transit Connectivity
The lot is accessible via the internal road network of the SIUE campus. Drivers should follow signage for the Student Fitness Center or Vadalabene Center. While campus traffic can become dense during major university events, the lot layout provides reasonable ingress and egress. The campus is well-connected to the broader Edwardsville region and interstates via University Drive, which links to major local thoroughfares. Madison County Transit (MCT) provides bus connectivity to and around the campus, offering convenient alternatives for those wishing to avoid driving directly to the venue.
