Facility Overview
Situated at 3301 Samuel Shepard Drive in St. Louis, Missouri, this parking facility offers a dependable and accessible open-air surface parking option on the edge of the vibrant Midtown and Grand Center Arts districts. Configured with a straightforward ground-level layout, the lot provides clear maneuvering aisles and unobstructed sightlines that make arrival and parking straightforward for drivers of all vehicle types. Because it is a surface-level parking lot without overhead decks, low-hanging pipes, or restrictive height barriers, it easily accommodates oversized vehicles including lifted pickup trucks, full-size SUVs, passenger vans, and work vehicles that often exceed the vertical clearance limitations of downtown parking garages.
Prime Location & Nearby Attractions
Positioned just east of the bustling Grand Center Arts District and north of the Saint Louis University campus corridor, this parking location serves as a versatile staging area for arts, entertainment, and sporting events. Within a 10- to 15-minute walk or a brief 3-minute rideshare, visitors can reach renowned cultural venues such as the historic Fabulous Fox Theatre, Powell Hall (home of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra), the Sheldon Concert Hall, and the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis. Sports and campus event attendees will appreciate convenient proximity to Chaifetz Arena (approximately 1 mile south) and CITYPARK soccer stadium, located just down the road in Downtown West. The location offers a peaceful alternative to crowded venue garages during peak event evenings.
Access, Navigation & Transit Connectivity
Entering and exiting the lot is simple and efficient via Samuel Shepard Drive, which links directly to major St. Louis thoroughfares including North Compton Avenue, Delmar Boulevard, and Martin Luther King Drive. This secondary street positioning allows drivers to avoid the heaviest pedestrian and vehicular bottlenecks that typically form on Grand Boulevard immediately after major shows or games. Interstate 64 (I-64/US-40) and Interstate 70 are easily accessible within minutes, providing seamless highway travel across the greater St. Louis metropolitan area. Public transit users are well-served by MetroBus lines operating along Delmar and Compton, as well as the nearby Grand MetroLink light rail station for rail connections to Forest Park, Downtown St. Louis, and St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL).
