Facility Overview
PCC Sylvania Lot H is an open-air surface parking facility situated on the expansive 120-acre grounds of Portland Community College's flagship Sylvania Campus in Southwest Portland (97219), perched right between the communities of Far Southwest Portland, Lake Oswego, and Tigard. Designed to serve students, faculty, staff, event attendees, and community members, the lot offers a straightforward, grade-level parking layout with clearly painted stalls and wide driving aisles. Because it is a flat, uncovered outdoor lot, there are no vertical clearance limits or overhead height barriers. This makes Lot H exceptionally accommodating for standard passenger vehicles, oversized pickup trucks, extended SUVs, conversion vans, and commercial service vehicles that cannot enter typical covered parking garages.
Prime Location & Nearby Attractions
Serving as a key access point to the eastern and southern perimeters of the Sylvania Campus, Lot H puts drivers within steps of academic facilities, cultural venues, and natural recreation. Directly adjacent are the PCC Performing Arts Center (PAC), the Amo De Bernardis College Center (CC), the Sylvania Campus Library, the HT Health Technology Building, and the extensive Sylvania Fitness Center and athletic track. Off campus, the lot is located just minutes from lush Pacific Northwest outdoor areas, including the tranquil trails of Lesser City Park directly bordering the campus, Kerr Parkway, and the scenic Tryon Creek State Natural Area roughly 2 miles to the east. The shopping and dining destinations of Lake Oswego, Kruse Way business corridor, and Tigard’s Bridgeport Village are all within a convenient 5 to 10-minute drive.
Access, Navigation & Transit Connectivity
Arriving at Lot H is straightforward via SW 49th Avenue and SW Kerr Parkway, both of which connect quickly to Interstate 5 (Exit 293 for Haines St or Exit 294 for Barbur Blvd/OR-99W) and Highway 217. Campus ring roads feature clear directional signage guiding motorists directly toward Lot H and adjacent campus parking zones. For public transit users, the Sylvania Campus Transit Center is located nearby, providing direct connections via TriMet bus lines (including Line 44 Capitol Hwy/Mocks Crest and Line 78 Denney/Kerr Pkwy). Additionally, the free inter-campus PCC Shuttle operates on weekdays, linking Sylvania to downtown Portland (Portland State University), the Cascade Campus, the Southeast Campus, and the Rock Creek Campus.

Visitor & Driver Tips
Parking permits are strictly enforced across all PCC Sylvania parking lots Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM during active academic quarters. Visitors must purchase a short-term or daily permit from the nearest campus pay kiosk immediately upon arrival and display it face-up on the vehicle dashboard. Pay kiosks accept credit cards and coins/cash, but do not give change, so exact currency is recommended if paying cash. Campus parking is generally free on weekends and during academic term breaks unless designated for a special ticketed event. Because the campus is hilly with stepped pedestrian pathways between upper and lower lots, parking in Lot H is especially convenient if your destination is the eastern academic quad or Performing Arts Center.
