Facility Overview
The Saint James Parking Garage is a centrally located parking facility situated at 250 Lafayette St, Newark, NJ. Positioned in the heart of the Ironbound district and adjacent to the bustling downtown Newark corridor, this facility offers a mix of covered and structured parking solutions. Designed to accommodate urban traffic flow, the garage features standard stall dimensions suitable for compact cars, sedans, and most mid-size SUVs. Drivers of oversized vehicles, lifted pickup trucks, or high-roof commercial vans should exercise caution and verify vertical clearance heights upon entry, as urban garages in this historic sector typically impose standard headroom limitations.

Visitor & Driver Tips
To ensure a stress-free parking experience, we recommend arriving at least 60-90 minutes prior to the start of major events at the Prudential Center to avoid peak traffic congestion. Drivers should look for clearly marked facility signage along Lafayette St. We highly encourage utilizing mobile parking apps to check real-time availability and potentially secure pre-paid rates, which can shield you from event-day surge pricing. Always ensure your ticket is kept in a secure location or registered digitally to expedite your departure after events conclude.
