Overview & Suitability

The Southard Parking Lot, located at 401 UT University Dr, is a designated parking facility serving the University of Tampa area. This surface lot is primarily utilized by university affiliates and visitors. As an open-air surface facility, it is well-suited for standard passenger vehicles and does not have the height restrictions typically associated with covered parking garages.

Access, Dimensions & Clearance

Being a surface-level lot, this facility offers easy navigation for standard cars, SUVs, and trucks. There are no overhead clearance restrictions, making it an accessible option for taller vehicles that might otherwise struggle with the lower ceilings of downtown Tampa\'s parking structures.

Parking Rates, Tariffs & Booking

Parking regulations on the University of Tampa campus are typically enforced between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday. While the lot is open 24 hours, users should be aware of university parking permits or potential hourly rates if applicable. Rates are subject to change, and drivers are advised to check signage upon arrival for specific pricing or time-limit restrictions.

Security & Amenities

The facility is situated within the campus environment, benefitting from university security presence. As a surface lot, it features clear visibility and standard pavement markings. Please note that the University of Tampa assumes no liability for damage, theft, or vandalism to vehicles parked on-site.

Strategic Alternatives

This lot serves as a convenient alternative for those visiting the University of Tampa campus or attending nearby downtown events. Because it is an open-air lot, it acts as a strategic preference for visitors driving oversized vehicles who wish to avoid the height limitations of nearby downtown parking garages.
