Facility Overview

UMKC Parking Lot 10 serves as a designated parking facility for the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) Volker Campus. This surface lot is primarily utilized by students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors, offering essential proximity to university buildings and academic facilities. The lot is designed for standard passenger vehicles and is integrated into the broader campus parking management system.

Access and Navigation

Access to Lot 10 is managed through UMKC Parking Operations. The facility is easily accessible from local campus roads, providing straightforward entry for commuters. As an open-air surface lot, there are no vertical clearance restrictions, making it suitable for standard commuter vehicles; however, large commercial vehicles or oversized RVs may face limitations due to campus permit regulations.

Parking Policies and Payments

Parking at UMKC facilities typically requires either a valid university-issued parking permit or payment via metered systems. Visitors and those without long-term permits should note the following:

• Payment is often facilitated through the AMP Park mobile application for metered spaces.
• Virtual permits are managed via the university\'s central parking portal.
• Parking enforcement is active, and users are encouraged to register their vehicles before arrival to ensure compliance.

Security and Amenities

The lot benefits from general campus oversight, including regular patrols by UMKC security personnel. While specific amenities like covered parking are not provided, the location offers a convenient, high-access point for those heading to classes or university events. Lighting is maintained in accordance with campus safety standards to assist with evening navigation.

Strategic Usage

This lot acts as a strategic access point for the Volker Campus, particularly for those attending events at nearby university venues or needing mid-day access to academic offices. Commuters are advised to cross-reference their permit type with the specific lot designation to avoid fines.
