Overview and Facility Details

UNCG Parking Lot 1 is an official university-operated surface parking facility located on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Primarily serving students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors, this lot provides surface-level parking for standard passenger vehicles.

Access and Navigation

The lot is situated with direct access to the Oakland Avenue corridor. As a standard university surface lot, it is designed for passenger cars; there are no specific height clearance restrictions typically associated with parking garages. Drivers should be mindful of pedestrian traffic, as the lot is integrated into a busy academic environment.

Parking Policies and Permits

Parking at UNCG Parking Lot 1 is managed strictly by the UNCG Parking Operations department. Access is typically regulated through university-issued permits for students and staff. Visitors should consult official university parking portals to determine if daily permits or hourly \'pay-by-plate\' options are available for this specific lot at the time of their arrival, as university policy can change based on the academic calendar.

Security and Amenities

The facility is subject to campus security patrols and falls under the purview of the UNCG Police Department. As an open surface lot, it provides standard lighting for visibility during evening hours.

Strategic Alternatives

This location serves as a convenient parking hub for those attending events at nearby campus facilities, athletic venues, and academic buildings. It is a practical alternative for visitors looking for close proximity to the heart of the UNCG campus.
