Overview & Suitability

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Kansas City District office is located at 601 E. 12th Street, Kansas City, MO 64106. Please note that this facility does not provide public parking for visitors or general use. The site operates as a professional government office, and its limited parking capacity is reserved strictly for authorized personnel and specific administrative operations. Visitors conducting business with the district are advised to utilize nearby public parking facilities in the downtown Kansas City area.

Access, Dimensions & Clearance

As there is no public parking on-site, there is no public access or clearance information available for this location. Drivers seeking nearby parking should be aware that downtown Kansas City streets often have height restrictions, particularly within covered parking garages, which typically accommodate standard passenger vehicles (often with clearances around 6'8" to 7'2").

Parking Rates, Tariffs & Booking

There is no public parking available at the USACE office. For those visiting the downtown area, numerous commercial parking lots and municipal garages are available. These facilities typically charge hourly or daily rates and may require payment via mobile apps (such as ParkMobile or PayByPhone) or credit card-only pay stations.

Security & Amenities

While the USACE office is a secure federal facility, it does not offer public-facing parking amenities. Visitors are encouraged to utilize commercial parking garages nearby, many of which provide security features such as CCTV, adequate lighting, and gated access.

Strategic Alternative

For individuals needing parking near the 601 E. 12th Street area, several convenient alternatives exist within walking distance, including the 13th & Walnut Garage, the KC Live Garage, and various surface lots managed by private operators or the City of Kansas City. These locations are better suited for accessing downtown government buildings, entertainment venues, and transit hubs.
